Why My Dog Was Losing Weight And Had Constant Diarrhea

I’m a animal lover with 3 cats and 1 dog, I love them very much. I’m writing this article because maybe I can help others that have the same issue with their dog as I once did.

Loba at 9 weeks old

I have a German Shepard, she’s now 7 years old. Her name is Loba (wolf in spanish) when she was 4 years old she was very healthy and looked great, her weight at the time was 80lbs. Then when she was around 5 years old she started losing weight, I didn’t think too much about it.

After a few weeks she was really looking thin and started developing constant diarrhea.  After 1 week of her having bad bowels we took her to the vet. He said everything checked out just fine and we should change her food. He suggested something with rice in it, so we did. Still there was no improvement.

We decided to take her to a different vet and he also said she’s fine, he didn’t find anything wrong with her either. He suggested we go to a specialist, so we did. We paid over $ 600.00 in blood work, ultra sound, x-rays, and still no answer to why she had constant  diarrhea and rapid weight loss.

14 months went by and my 80lb dog was  a very unhealthy  47lbs. She was skin and bones but always had a great attitude. She still chased rabbits and her ball. Her tail was always wagging so that was a great sign.Loba was always in great spirits although she was obviously ill.

I told my wife that something had to be done or Loba was going to die if she kept losing weight. She was losing weight because all the nutrition in her food was going right out in the diarrhea. We decided to take her back to the same vet as before. Maybe something new was developed that might help her.

When we got  to the vet’s office he wasn’t in but his assistant was there. She pulled Loba’s file and after reading her symptons she suggested we try “PanaKare Plus Powder.” She had a strong feeling that Loba’s pancreas wasn’t working properly. A 120z container costs $ 101.00, we didn’t care about that and ordered 1 container.

After 1 week we got the PanaKare Plus Powder and prayed that it would work because we had no more options. After just 3 days of treatment her stool was getting firmer and taking shape, not runny like before.  I was never happier to see good looking poo!

Now 10 months after treatment Loba weighs 76lbs and looks great! The vet said we have to keep her on PanaKare Plus Powder for the rest of her life. One container will last just over 2 months.  If your dog is experiencing weight loss or diarrhea, mention PanaKare Plus Powder to your vet. Maybe your dog’s pancreas isn’t working properly.

If my article helps just one person it was worth my time and effort.
